Why are chrome and glass so slow to retouch?
A polished tap mirrors the entire room, so every light source, tripod leg and reflected hand ends up in the frame and has to be rebuilt by hand rather than simply cloned away. Glass shower enclosures add a second problem: the edge is partly transparent, so a plain cutout leaves an unnatural hard line.
