When blurring helps
Hide faces
Cover the faces of passers-by or people who did not consent to being published. Select the spot in Region mode and apply blur or pixelation.
Hide plates and details
License plates, document numbers, addresses and other details are easy to hide with a local selection, no photo editor needed.
Blur the background
A full blur gently draws attention or prepares a neutral backdrop for text, a cover or a thumbnail.

Everything runs in your browser
The image is not uploaded to a server: both blur and pixelation run on your own device through the canvas. The file never leaves the browser, so the tool is fine for documents and private photos.
How to blur a photo
- Upload a photo (JPG, PNG or WebP).
- Choose Whole photo for a full blur, or Region to select areas.
- Set the type (blur or pixels) and the strength with the slider.
- Click Download result, the ready file is saved locally.
FAQ
Is the blur reversible?
No. Once saved, blurred and pixelated areas cannot be restored, so it is a safe way to hide data before publishing.
Does the photo go to a server?
No, everything is processed locally in the browser. The file is never uploaded.
Can I select several areas?
Yes. In Region mode drag across each spot, faces and plates can be covered one by one.
How is pixelation different from blur?
Blur makes an area softly indistinct, pixelation breaks it into large squares. For hiding data pixelation looks more definitive.
Does the rest of the photo lose quality?
No. Only the selected areas change, or the whole image in full mode, the rest keeps its quality.
