    How to resize an image

    1. Upload a photo: drag it into the upload area or choose a file. The box below the settings shows the original size in pixels and the file size.
    2. Choose the units and set the new size: width and height, a percentage of the original, or a ready-made size.
    3. If the aspect ratio changes, choose a mode: fit, stretch or crop to center. The "New size" line shows the final pixels right away.
    4. If you need to, choose the output format and enter a limit in the "No larger than, KB" field.
    5. Click "Resize". The tool shows a preview, the final size in pixels and the file size.

    What the tool can do

    • Pixels: exact width and height. While "Keep aspect ratio" is on, the second side is calculated for you.
    • Percent: from 1 to 500% of the original size, the aspect ratio is kept.
    • Centimeters and millimeters: print size at 72, 150, 300 dpi. The pixel size is shown at once, and the chosen DPI is written into JPG and PNG files.
    • Ready-made sizes: 1920×1080, 1280×720, 1080×1080, 1080×1350, 1080×1920 and 800×600 px, plus 10×15 cm and 3×4 cm at 300 dpi.
    • Three aspect ratio modes: fit the whole picture, stretch to the exact size or crop to center.
    • File size limit: the tool picks the JPG or WebP quality to stay under your limit in kilobytes.
    • Output format: same as the original, or JPG, PNG or WebP.
    • Size and weight before download: the result shows pixels and kilobytes before and after.

    Ready-made sizes in pixels

A ready-made size button fills in the fields and switches on center crop, so the result is exactly that size. You can change the mode to "Fit" or "Stretch".

    Frequently asked questions

How do I resize an image in pixels?

Upload the photo, keep the units on "Pixels" and type the width or the height. While "Keep aspect ratio" is on, the other side is filled in automatically. To set both sides independently, untick that box and choose a mode: fit, stretch or crop to center.

How do I set the size in centimeters for printing?

Choose "Centimeters" or "Millimeters" and a DPI: 72, 150, 300. The tool converts the size to pixels with the formula "centimeters ÷ 2.54 × DPI" and shows it in the "New size" line. For example, 10×15 cm at 300 dpi is 1181×1772 px. The chosen DPI is written into JPG and PNG files.

What is the difference between "Fit", "Stretch" and "Crop to center"?

"Fit" keeps the whole picture without distortion, so one side may end up smaller than requested. "Stretch" gives the exact size but changes the proportions of objects in the frame. "Crop to center" gives the exact size without distortion: the edges are trimmed. If the new aspect ratio matches the original, all three modes give the same result.

How do I resize an image to a certain size in KB?

Enter the limit in the "No larger than, KB" field or click one of the ready values. The field accepts 10 to 25000 KB. The tool picks a JPG or WebP quality no lower than 40, and the pixel size stays as you set it. If the file cannot fit, the tool says so and shows the size it reached: reduce the pixel size then. PNG file size does not depend on quality.

Can I make an image larger?

Yes, the new size can be larger than the original: up to 8000 px per side and 40 megapixels in total. The picture is enlarged by ordinary interpolation, so no new detail appears. For AI upscaling by 2 or 4 times, open the "Upscale image" tool.

    Which formats and limits apply?

JPG, PNG and WebP up to 25 MB, one file at a time. The result is saved in the original format or in JPG, PNG or WebP of your choice; JPG and WebP quality is 90. When saving to JPG, transparent areas are filled with white. Photo metadata (EXIF, GPS) is not carried into the result. One address can process 30 files per minute and 200 per day. The result is kept on the server for up to 24 hours.

    Will the image quality change?

When you reduce the size the picture stays crisp: extra pixels are removed with a smoothing filter. JPG and WebP are saved at quality 90; with a file size limit the quality may be lower, and it is shown in the result. Enlarging does not add sharpness.

How much does it cost and what is free?

Free of charge: processing and viewing the result, that is a reduced preview with a watermark, the final size in pixels and the file size. No sign-up needed. Paid: the full-size file without a watermark, $0.99 per photo. A pack is cheaper: $0.18 per photo in a pack of 20 photos. Details are in the "What is free and what is paid" block on this page.
